Pastor Stefon Beck gave his heart to the Lord at the age of 21. Ever since that first resounding "yes" his heart's desire has been to first be obedient to God and then to empower His people to live out the principles and possibilities first described in the Book of Acts. Pastor Beck's desire to live for God has led him to mature his faith, character and gifts through personal relationship with God and by ministering in several capacities, including youth pastor and house prophet. Pastor Beck does not believe in sugarcoating the Word or shy away from confronting the issues facing Chritians today but he is also down to earth and always ready to encourage and support those who need it.
Pastor Stefon received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from New Jersey City University and his Master of Divinity degree from New Brunswick Theological Seminary. He has served at Mother Bethel AME Church, Philadelphia, St. John Baptist Church, Scotch Plains, NJ, Cathedral International, Perth Amboy, NJ and New Hope Baptist Church, Metuchen, NJ. In preparation for his elevation to the office of elder, Pastor Beck receives spiritual mentorship from Bishop Christopher T. Cox as a member of United Covenant Churches of Christ under the leadership of Bishop Eric D. Garnes (Presiding Prelate).
Pastor Stefon is a loving father who seeks to honor God as he loves, leads, respects and supports his three beautiful children, Dylan, Payton and Leif.
Pastor Beck is excited to lead Century Church into accomplishing everything God has purposed for this community of believers!
Mission & Vision
Century Church started with a Word from the Lord, which stated that the ministry was to be free from the restrictions of tradition and church as usual. Century Church is charged to embrace the five-fold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors (shepherds) and teachers (Ephesians 4:11) and to be a safe place of restoration for the "lost sheep of the house" - those who were once on fire for God but have become disheartened by religion and the commitment of the church to tradition rather than to the leading of the Spirit. It is our mission as a ministry to make it known to some and to remind others that "The Spirit Gives Son-ship" according to Romans 8:14, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."
